Ben commenced his Telecommunications Traineeship with Aquatel Telephones and Cabling late in 2007, Ben had already qualified for and holds a certificate in Retail Operations. While qualifying for his retail operations certificate, Ben worked at various organisations in Canberra and Bathurst.

During his work experience, Ben acquired an interest in the technical tasks such as poker machine servicing and coffee machine maintenance. This lead Ben to change his career path into a more technical role.

Currently Ben has been trained up for Telstra Payphone faults and maintenance, however he is also actively assisting in a variety of cabling and equipment installations.

Ben is a Rugby Union man having played union for many years. He is also a part time musician (guitarist) and has recorded a CD.
